The puppies turned one month old yesterday, so today they got their 'big puppy' collars, new photos, and got to play outside for a little bit (really quite hot today) for the first time. They are so smart, sweet and loving. They are breaking my heart just thinking about the near future, and having to let them go to their new families.
I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Memorial Day, and wanted to give a BIG THANK YOU to all the veterans, active duty, reservists, all the family and friends supporting loved ones serving, and all of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country and us all! My husband is currently in Afghanistan, so the 'house terrorists' and I spent the weekend going to historical sites in Fredericksburg, peddle boating on the lake at Quantico, and endless hours (or so it seemed to me because I had no swimsuit) at the Fredericksburg YMCA water park. We carry our loved ones, alive and passed, with us everyday- never take for granted love.
While at our own Yoga meeting, I had time to photograph a few infants- and luckily MOPS was having a meeting in the same building. This adorable little guy is Micah :) He was doing a great job at propping himself up :)
(The full color were really cute, but I love babies in B&W :D)
While mowing the lawn yesterday I heard my son yell "MOM! STOP! BUNNY!", I immediately let go of the handle to cut the engine- and there 5 feet in front of the mower was the smallest, most teeny tiny 'wittle' bunny I've ever seen. He blended in so well with the grass, that had my son not been outside- yesterday would have been a pretty horrible day. But little "Lucky" had a little angel watching over him. We kept him safe tucked away until the mowing was done, then I was able to find his mother's nest where he had 6 to 7 more brothers and sisters! He hopped off to his mom, and they went to the nest. Now hopefully they stay there until they are big enough to see easily!
This is my daughters hand holding him, he fit so snuggly- and didn't even try to jump away. Seemed to really like all the petting and behind the ear scratching :)
I'm not sure if the mom's from taking photos on Thursday night have tried to email me for their photos- but if you contact me at either email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org I have them read to send to you. I don't not post photos on here without prior consent, so I'm not sure if you guys are waiting for me to put them up. THANK YOU!
I have received the newest requests for dog photos- read below for what is needed and if you are interested. For the socializing and GPS photos, the dog can be any breed and mixed- but for the specified breed photos they must be purebred. For the PUREBRED canine's listed, they must be up to standards by the Dog Fancy regulations. Must be clean, and well kept. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Your dog could be in a magazine, what bragging rights that would be as an owner! :) Mlejnek.Photography@gmail.com
This is Bankai- my Shiba Inu :) He helps me decide how I want to set up my lights sometimes. Of course I have to bribe him with pieces of my swiss cheese, but it's a small price for such a cute model :) He was helping me decide which lights to bring with to the Father's Day photos tonight, had to weed it down to 3 lol, but we came to a conclusion that I think works well :)
Hello all! Exciting news, after almost 2 weeks of waiting- I was contacted by the Associate Editor of Dog Fancy Magazine (One of the greatest dog magazines around :P) and asked to by an Independent Contractor Photographer for them! Once a month I will get a list of photos they will need for upcoming articles, could be a dog playing catch in the park, or on a hike with their owner... so look in the future for posts from me looking for a 'doggy model'! :) If my photos are used, your pet could be in the magazine!
I will be doing a special for these available dates and times. These shoots are $50 and can be done in your home, or on location (Because of the puppies, I will not be doing shoots in my own home). For $50 you will have 1 to 1 1/2 hours of shoot time, with up to 3 outfit changes- you will then receive a CD with your 10 favorite high quality RAW images and a print release for you to share and print as you would like. This is being offered so I can update my portfolio, after this my rates will go back to normal. If you have any questions- feel free to ask! THANK YOU!

When we lived in Jacksonville NC, I started to take photos for family members to send to the Dad's and Husband's that were currently deployed. I still do this when I have time, so if your spouse is deployed- and you would like to get some photos to send to brighten their day, I'm always willing to help with that!
Our little furry babies are growing fast! And I must say, are giving me more and more to do each day! :) But I wouldn't have it any other way. These are some of their 3 week photos, looking forward to the 8 weeks so we can do them for 4th of July!
